Renamed? Still caught. Clean up without preselecting the wrong copy.

Music from many sources ends up as one track in five places under five names. TaxonomyDJ compares the audio content, not just the filename, and keeps the best-quality copy.

Typical duplicate finders only compare names or sizes. Renamed copies slip through, and two different tracks with the same name get lumped together.

Keep the best copy

Keep the newest, oldest, or highest quality, like WAV and FLAC before MP3.

FAQ

Does it find renamed duplicates?

Yes. It compares the audio content and ignores names and tags, so renamed copies are still found.

What if I delete the wrong file?

Delete to the Trash to restore it. Copies with different audio, or the only labeled copy in a group, are never preselected, and every group keeps at least one copy.

Can I scan folders outside the app?

Yes. Drag any folder into the tab to scan it.

Let the app do the sorting. You do the playing.
