TaxonomyDJ is developed and owned by Ngô Thanh Triều ("we"). You are granted a license to use TaxonomyDJ; you do not buy ownership of it. By installing or using TaxonomyDJ, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall TaxonomyDJ.
1. Free plan
- Free of charge, with no time limit. Requires an email address and a periodic internet connection; works offline for up to 14 days.
- Unlimited: playback, EQ, folder scans, waveform analysis (BPM, key), audio quality checks (spectrogram, upscale detection), manual labeling, copying and moving files into folders, renaming single files, moving files to the Trash, finding and deleting duplicates, and removing data from the app.
- Other features need the Premium plan (section 2).
- Includes email support.
- The Free plan never turns into a paid plan on its own.
2. Premium plan
- Paid for 3 months or 1 year at a time. Includes everything in the Free plan, plus full analysis, training and automatic labeling, batch tag editing and renaming, and label packs — with no limits.
- One key works on up to 2 computers at once. To switch computers, remove the old one in Settings ▸ License. The number of switches is limited; contact us if you need more.
- Works offline for up to 14 days.
- Includes email support.
3. Payment, renewal, and refunds
- Card or PayPal: you buy through Lemon Squeezy, the seller of the transaction. Your plan renews each period until you cancel. If you cancel before the renewal date, you are not charged for the next period, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. To cancel, contact Lemon Squeezy or email us.
- Bank transfer in Vietnam (VietQR code): a one-time payment for one period, with no automatic renewal. Keep the exact amount and transfer reference. If you send too little, do not send more; email us with the transfer reference.
- Your key appears in the app as soon as payment is confirmed. Keep a copy of it.
- Prices may change. You pay the price shown at checkout.
- No refunds, unless the law where you live requires one or Lemon Squeezy issues one under its own policy. Use the Free plan to try TaxonomyDJ before you buy.
- If a payment is fully refunded or charged back, the key is locked.
4. When Premium expires
- TaxonomyDJ verifies your license over the internet on both the Free and Premium plans. If it cannot be verified for 14 days, or if your computer's clock is wrong, the app locks until you reconnect or correct the clock.
- When Premium expires or the key is locked, TaxonomyDJ goes back to the Free plan.
- Your music, labels, analysis results, and models are kept, and you can still use every Free feature. Premium features unlock again when you renew or activate a valid key.
5. What you may not do
- Crack, bypass, or tamper with the licensing system.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code, algorithms, or models of TaxonomyDJ.
- Share, resell, or rent out a key, or use a key on more computers than allowed.
- Modify, redistribute, or sell TaxonomyDJ.
- Attack or abuse TaxonomyDJ's servers.
If you break these rules, your key is locked and your computer may be blocked, including on the Free plan, with no refund.
6. Your music and data
- Your music files stay in your own folders; TaxonomyDJ does not copy or encrypt them. Labels, analysis results, and models stay on your computer, encrypted. None of these are uploaded to any server.
- We do not keep a copy of your data, so we cannot recover data lost on your computer. Back up in Database ▸ Back up data.
- Copying, moving, deleting, renaming files, and writing tags only happen when you choose to. In the Training tab, changing a track's label moves the file to the new label's folder (on by default; turn it off in Settings ▸ Labels ▸ Move files when the label changes). Moving files can't be undone. Back up your music before bulk operations.
- You are responsible for your rights to the music you use and for any label packs you share with others.
7. No warranty
- TaxonomyDJ is provided as is. It may contain bugs, and the servers may sometimes be unavailable.
- BPM, key, predicted labels, and other results are automatic estimates and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them.
- We are not liable for lost files or data. If we are held liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for TaxonomyDJ in the last 12 months.
- This section does not take away any consumer rights that the law where you live gives you.
8. Open-source libraries
TaxonomyDJ uses open-source libraries, each under its own license. The list and full license texts come with the installer. These terms do not limit any rights those licenses give you.
9. Updates and changes to these terms
- TaxonomyDJ checks for new versions on its own. A new version is only downloaded and installed when you choose to, and it may add, change, or remove features.
- We may stop supporting an old version. That version then locks and asks you to update to the latest version; your data is kept.
- These terms may change. A new version shows its effective date at the top and can be opened from Help ▸ Terms of use. Continuing to use TaxonomyDJ after that date means you accept the new version.
